Cement Finisher

Perform tasks involving physical labor for concrete projects. May operate a variety of hand tools and equipment. Will smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete such as floors, walks and paving. Will monitor how wind, heat or cold conditions affect the curing process of the concrete.

Responsibilities Include

- Level Concrete: establish benchmarks, level sub grade, level with laser or transit, establish grade lines and heights, construct and set screeds and forms, place expansion joints, install reinforcements, check forms and reinforcing steel, apply admixtures, identify types of concrete mix, test, place and rough concrete, screed off or bull float.
- Finish and Cure Concrete: finish edge and tool joints, hand float and power float concrete, prepare wet surface treatment, hand trowel and power trowel concrete, wet cure concrete, finish foundations, walls, curbs, gutters, driveway and sidewalks, finish basement, garage floors and stoops, finish slab on grade, topping and deck pours.
- Cut, repair and resurface: determine joints and spacing. Cut control joints manually and with an early entry saw, clean out cut & fill cuts, inspect concrete, remove bumps, clean concrete surface, treat and re-seal surfaces, rough concrete surfaces, and bond materials to concrete, re-surface concrete, patch cavities, grind and rub concrete surfaces.
- Create architectural finishes: pre-test sample surface, sandblast concrete structures, acid etch concrete, expose aggregate by spraying and washing, proved surface texture, texture and pattern concrete, including stamp and stencil, create burlap and broom finish, color concrete and panels.
- Interpret blueprints associate symbols to objects, identify dimension of concrete related components, locate job requirements from specifications book, examine cross sections for elevations, dimensions and locations of concrete members, check local code requirements.
Concrete Laborer

- A Laborer will perform all vibrating, grinding, spreading, flowing and puddling, and leveling of concrete prior to finishing. Tending all rod, mesh and other materials needed for reinforcing concrete construction. A Laborer will cut concrete as needed.
- A Laborer will strip forms, clean forms, oil forms and carry to the next point of installation. A Laborer will snap wall ties and remove tie rods, patch any voids etc.
- Removal of forms, cleaning, stacking, oiling, and handling.
- Laborers build the scaffold, install planking and maintain the scaffold, remove the scaffold for all building and construction crafts.
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- General cleaning – general sweeping, cleaning, and removing debris, pumping water.

Key Responsibilities
- Process payroll by preparing, verifying, and reviewing employee time and compensation data to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
- Submit federal and state payroll tax payments and filings in accordance with applicable laws and regulatory deadlines.
- Prepare and reconcile quarterly and annual payroll tax filings with federal and applicable state agencies; oversee year-end processing, including W-2 preparation, wage reconciliations, audits, and compliance documentation.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs in accordance with applicable policies, regulations, and organizational guidelines.
- Maintain and interpret union contracts, including payroll packages, benefit requirements, renewals, and provisions related to new project locations, ensuring compliance and accurate implementation.
- Assist with client billing and invoicing by preparing supporting documentation, generating invoices, and tracking payment status to ensure accurate and timely processing.

- Maintain and monitor plans email for all relevant job correspondence, including bids, RFIs, and related communications.

Qualifications - Required
